Olivia Wilde just brought the sheer lace trend into goth territory with an all-black gown and heavy black eyeliner that, put together, is giving chic Addams Family reunion.
The Don't Worry Darling actor and director arrived at the 48th People's Choice Awards on Tuesday, December 6, in a fully sheer lace Dior gown styled over high-waisted black briefs. The 38-year-old added an oversize black belt with leather accents and kept the rest of the look simple, skipping jewellery and wearing her hair in natural loose waves.
Wilde's Don't Worry Darling was nominated for the drama movie of 2022; the project's leads, Harry Styles and Florence Pugh, also received nominations for best drama movie stars of 2022.
Last month, it was reported that Wilde and Styles, who met on the set of DWD nearly two years ago, are taking a break. “He’s still touring and is now going abroad. She is focusing on her kids and her work in LA,” a source told People in November. “It’s a very amicable decision.”
“They’re still very close friends,” the source continued, while another added, “Right now, they have different priorities that are keeping them apart.”
There's no way to know for sure Olivia Wilde's gown is a revenge dress, but regardless of intentions—it's a damn good one.
