Florence Pugh killed it in yet another sheer red carpet dress.

On November 19, the Don't Worry Darling star attended the Academy's 13th annual Governors Awards in Los Angeles wearing an almost-completely-sheer white Victoria Beckham gown with polka dot details.

Pugh's bob was slicked back into a mullet-esque style, and her makeup was kept classic with a matte mauve lip and champagne smokey eye. She completed the look with her signature septum piercing and a dramatic gold statement necklace by Tiffany & Co.

This is one of many see-through looks the actor has rocked over the past year as she promoted the film Don't Worry Darling, directed by Olivia Wilde, who also attended last night's awards ceremony. For her first public appearance since breaking up with Harry Styles, Wilde wore a black and white Erdem gown with a visible petticoat and opera gloves (I'm sensing a new trend, btw).

But back to Florence Pugh. The actor kicked off her sheer dress tour in a hot pink tulle Valentino gown at the fashion house's Haute Couture show at Milan Fashion Week in July. A few days after posting the look on her Instagram page, she hit back at the “vulgar men” in her comments section. “Why are you so scared of breasts? Small? Large? Left? Right? Only one? Maybe none? What. Is. So. Terrifying?" she asked in part of her lengthy follow-up post shared on July 10.

“Listen, I knew when I wore that incredible Valentino dress that there was no way there wouldn’t be a commentary on it,” Pugh wrote. “Whether it be negative or positive, we all knew what we were doing. I was excited to wear it, not a wink of me was nervous. I wasn’t before, during, or even now after.”

She concluded, “I wore that dress because I know. If being loudly abusive towards women publicly in 2022 is so easy for you, then the answer is that it is you who doesn’t know. Grow up. Respect people. Respect bodies. Respect all women. Respect humans. Life will get a whole lot easier, I promise.”
