Nicholas Galitzine just arrived at the Met Gala 2024, marking his debut at the highly-anticipated fundraiser, dubbed as fashion's biggest night.
Seeing how busy he's kept in the past few months, it's no surprise that Galitzine secured a coveted Met Gala invite. The actor has starred in several films that have quickly become fan favourites, earning him plenty of attention. Just days before the Met Gala, The Idea of You, where Galitzine plays the titular role of Hayes Campbell opposite Anne Hathaway, premiered on Prime Video.
In 2023, Galitzine similarly took a main role in Red, White & Royal Blue, and his simple yet effective “Santal 33” line made us swoon. Later that year, he served as comedic relief in Bottoms alongside Ayo Edebiri, Kaia Gerber, and others.
With such an impressive couple of years behind him now, Galitzine's spot on the Met Gala red carpet was dutifully earned. The only thing left to wonder was what he would wear for his debut, and now our question has been answered and don't get your hopes up because, sigh, he went for a black suit.

Upon further inspection, you'll see Galitzine's black tux, which is custom from Fendi, does feature some embroidered black flowers, so it technically is an interpretation of this year's Met Gala theme, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” and the dress code “The Garden of Time.” (You can read all about those here.) Though it might not be the most exciting 'fit, we have to give it up for the hair — a 10/10.
Galitzine might be new to the Met Gala, but he's not a fashion newcomer. As a matter of fact, he happens to be Fendi’s first-ever Global Menswear Ambassador, as announced in 2023. Plus, he's been a regular at the Italian fashion house's events and shows since 2022. It's safe to say he's a Fendi favourite.
As Galtizine continues to grow his film portfolio, it looks like he'll also be developing his fashion profile as well as we will be tuned in for both!
