Summer is right around the corner, which means there's never been a better time to try new pedicure trends. At no other time of year are we as laser focused on foot care as we are in the summer, regardless of whether that pedicure is done in the bathroom at home or at a professional nail salon.

Of course, the foot care itself and the removal of calluses are the most essential parts of a pedicure—but let's not overlook the power of a cool nail design. And in summer 2024 some of the biggest pedicure trends are actually twists on your favourites from last season. Keep reading for some serious nail design inspo:

Pedicure trends for summer 2024

Then: Naked nails
Now: French pedicure

The classic French nail trends is back. While the design has obviously never completely disappeared as a manicure, it has recently been on hiatus in the pedicure world, often being deemed old fashioned.

But come summer 2024, the French pedi is getting an upgrade! Now the go-to clear nail polish can be swapped for any base shade or a coloured tip for a modern twist. No matter which version of the trend you go for, a French pedi will always make your feet look super groomed and sophisticated.

Then: White pedicure
Now: Dark nail polish

Dark nails in summer? Yep, you heard us right.

Though we love bright colours, especially in summer, darker tones offer a chic, minimalist finish.

This summer we're opting for a dark brown, blue or classic black. But be careful: to ensure that your nails don't look elegant and don't wear down right away, make sure you used a top coat as a finish. This way, your nails will last much longer and won't be faded by the sun.

Then: Neon colors
Now: Pastel colors

After all the classic designs, a little colour is of course a must.

Instead of bright neon colours, this summer we're keeping our toenails more subtle and understated – think light green, blues and yellows, bringing the sea or sun's rays to our feet. The colourful nails radiate joie de vivre and summer vibes, making them an eye-catcher in open shoes.
