The moment has come, bacon/avocado/shark/facepalm fans: 72 new emojis are on the way to make our expressions of contempt and longing for breakfast foods all the smoother. The website Emojipedia has created mock-ups of the forthcoming images to show how they think they'll look.
The new release comes on 21 June, at which point we will be able to celebrate our love of pancakes the way our phones intended: What's Apping an emoji of it next to a drooling face, followed shortly by someone feeling sick (all included in the new update). Other eagerly-awaited emojis include fox, owl, egg, and salad, while you can now do an emoji fist bump, or call me. Bad news for coulrophobics: there's a clown face emoji, but if that doesn't get you Rolling On The Floor Laughing (the first new emoji listed), you can always say you love it and then roll out the Lying Face. Other new mood emojis include shrugging and face palm; while the much-loved dancing and princess emojis get their gender equivalents, along with Mother Christmas.
