Disney Channel star Ross Lynch plays infamous American serial killer, Jeffery Dahmer, in an upcoming film based on his life as a teenager. The first trailer has now been released and it's chilling to say the least.
My Friend Dahmer is an on-screen adaptation of John "Derf" Backderf's popular 2012 graphic novel of the same name. The new trailer sees Dahmer as a high school kid who struggles with his daily life both at home and at school.

Lynch who portrays the serial killer, featured in Rolling Stones' 25 under 25 list this year and is best known for his role in Disney Channel show Austin & Ali. Talking about the new movie, the 21-year-old admitted that he had never heard of Jeffery Dahmer before landing the role.
"They were like, 'Hey, do you know who Jeffrey Dahmer is?' I had no idea," he told Rolling Stone.
"I thought it was awesome to just be unpredictable. Hopefully my next role could be something that most people won't expect from me," he added.
The film also features Mad Men's Vincent Kartheiser as Dahmer's doctor, Anne Heche as Dahmer's mother and Alex Wolff in the "Derf" role.
Jeffery Dahmer sexually assaulted and murdered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. He was sentenced to 15 terms of life imprisonment in 1992 after being found legally sane at his trial. In 1994, he was beaten to death by a fellow inmate.
My Friend Dahmer was premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April and will be released in cinemas later this year.
