Mulberry has ditched its tree logo

Mulberry is changing its famed logo.

The move is part of a reinvention for the label that recently named ex Celine designer Johnny Coca as its creative director. Watch the below Instagram clip to see it for the first time:

The logo will no longer feature the brand's signature tree motif, instead focusing on its original lettering that Coca found in the archives.

"Modernity always needs roots in the past," said the designer, who previously oversaw Celine's accessories and shoes categories.

Coca will debut his first collection for the label this Sunday during London Fashion Week - Mulberry's catwalk show in two years.
