Winnie Harlow is without a doubt one of the most talked about models of 2017. Winnie shot to fame after being discovered on America’s Next Top Model and then went on to pursue an outstanding career despite being bullied at school for her vitiligo.
We were lucky enough to be invited by Dior Makeup to spend 24 hours with the star whilst she got ready and attending Maria Grazia Chiruri’s first ever Haute Couture show and also the coolest party of couture week, The 70th Anniversary of Christian Dior at Fashion Week.
Created by makeup genius, Peter Philips the Dior Haute Couture makeup was subtle, bare and the epitome of untamed beauty. Fresh luminous skin was created combining Dior Skin Foundation and concealer. Cheeks and lids were slightly flushed using DiorSkin Nude Air Luminizer 001 and Metalizer Lips and Eyes In Platine Fusion.

GLAMOUR: Talk us through your look today?
WINNIE: “I like taking my look from day to night as I don’t like fussy makeup. So, this look is a smoked-out version of what I wore to the show today!
I buffed in and blended some dark grey and brown tones, I prefer those hues rather than black as it’s too harsh. My top tip for the best smokey eye? Use tape to get the perfect shape but remember to blend when you take it off as you don’t want a harsh line.
GLAMOUR: What is your pre-makeup regime?
WINNIE: Before I go on trips I give myself at home facials. I love Dior HydraLife Pores Away Pink Clay mask, it’s super nourishing and great pre-makeup.
GLAMOUR: How do you stay looking fresh all day long?
WINNIE: I always like to have a bag that's big enough to carry all my essential products. I top up my lipstick a lot- I love the new Dior Lip Tattoo as it’s long lasting and compact enough to carry. I love clear gloss too as you can make your lip more dramatic for a special occasion.
GLAMOUR: What are your travel/ makeup bag musts?
WINNIE: Coconut oil- I use it for everything. It’s a great make up remover.
GLAMOUR: Where are your favourite hangouts in Paris?
WINNIE: Hotel Costes- I love hanging there with friends. The chips are great!
GLAMOUR: Top beauty tip?
WINNIE: Practice doing your eyebrows. Don't pluck from a young age. It ruins them.
