Millie Bobby Brown looks so '90s Pamela Anderson with bombshell blonde hair and skinny brows

No, but actually, this transformation is wild.

Despite the fact that she was born in 2004 (I know, we’re all ancient), Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown is somehow a natural fit for a ’90s bombshell look, as she proved in her recent Instagram pictures. The British actor, who has naturally brown hair, just went honey blonde.

With the liner-forward lip look, bouncy blowout, and black velvet dress with a square-cut neckline, the look is three parts Pamela Anderson, one part Claudia Schiffer.

Millie also put a 2000s filter on the first image that includes graphics from the earlier days of Microsoft Windows. The youths yearn for dial-up for some reason.

She left the post caption-less, but did add a song, “Who Do You Think You Are?” by the Spice Girls— a song that, let me just say again, came out eight years before she was born. At least she respects her ancestors. Show Gen Z the millennial culture, Millie!

In the comments, a number of fans have started speculating that this hair shift signifies the young actor will be playing Britney Spears in a potential biopic. This both does and does not make sense.

Why it does not: With the exception of Jon M. Chu being attached to direct and Marc Platt producing, there hasn’t been any official announcement about this movie getting underway.

It would be absolutely wild for Millie Bobby Brown to tease her casting at this point, not to mention change her hair, when she’d just have to get her roots done again when cameras start rolling. This is simply…not how these things are done.

Why it a little bit does: Ever since Ariana Grande made the Wicked press tour about how much she always wanted to be Glinda, it seems to be open season on actors publicly campaigning for roles (not that this is technically new: Google “Sean Young Catwoman”).

And Wicked was directed by? Jon M. Chu. So these kinds of stunts may work on him.

Emma Roberts is on the record as wanting to play Britney, but so is Millie. She’s high on the list of rumoured or at least desired stars. (Meanwhile, Billboard wants MBB for Jamie Lynn…also a blonde!) So is she dyeing her hair not because she has the part but in an effort to get the part? It’s poss. It is poss.
