Yep, you did read that right. It's time to rethink everything you know about those golden arches, because McDonald's is getting more Maître d' than Maccy D. Not to be outdone by the more upmarket burger chains, the fast-food legend is introducing table service and a range of gourmet "signature" cooked-to-order burgers.
The posh-over was trialled in 14 branches and will be rolled out in 400 locations nationwide from February. Our only question: why stop there with the deluxe touches? We're thinking: a VIP area, complimentary Ronald McDonald makeovers and Moët in the milkshakes. Date night, sorted.
