Maya Hawke is someone we have been obsessed with since she graced our Netflix screens as Robin Buckley in Stranger Things.
And things are only gearing up to be bigger and better for the 25 year old actress, who will soon be seen in two major new films this year. And guess what? Her famous parents will be involved in both of them!
Firstly, Maya, who is also a very talented singer, will be seen in the movie Wildcat, which has been written, directed and produced by none other than her dad, Ethan Hawke. Then she will actually star alongside her mother, Uma Thurman, in the new movie The Kill Room.
Yes, sharing a screen with the legendary Kill Bill actress would be a daunting and career-defining move for any young actress, but we can't even imagine what an honour it is for Maya to be working alongside her mother.
And if that wasn't enough Maya-related excitement, the dark comedy thriller The Kill Room will also see her rub shoulders with fellow Hollywood heavyweights Samuel L Jackson and Joe Manganiello. The duo take on the role of a crime boss and his hitman sidekick, who enter the criminal underworld of art, where they team up with an art gallery owner (Thurman) for a money laundering scheme.
While a US release date of The Kill Room has been pencilled in for 29 September, a UK release date has yet to be confirmed, but we're already waiting with bated breath!
Meanwhile, while Maya has already starred with her dad Ethan in the 2020 film, The Good Lord Bird, she was, of course, his number one choice to cast for his movie Wildcat, which he has produced, written and directed.
The movie is a biographical drama film about American novelist Flannery O'Connor's struggle to publish her first novel. Maya will be seen in the lead role of Flannery in the film, which will have its world premiere at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival.
Wow, it's safe to say that Maya Hawke is booked and busy for the rest of the year!
