When Adamās not doing his day job as an electrician, heās competing in fitness competitions. To that end, heās super competitive and loves a challenge, which kind of explains why he signed up to the show. āIām forcing myself into the situation where I have to be with someone,ā he said. āIām only going to take positives from it. Hopefully, Iāll find the right one.ā

Ant works in business development, but apparently spends the rest of his time socialising, as heās been described as a āsocial butterflyā. Weāre not sure how thisāll go down, but he also supposedly āknows just how good looking he isā. That said, he has said heās hoping the show will help him to be more open, and that if it doesnāt work out he wants to come away with new friends. āThe best that could happen is that the experts find me a match and it works out perfectly and find our happily ever after,ā he explained. āThe worst case is it doesnāt work out and I make some new friends and learn a bit about myself.ā

Daniel, 27, Northern Ireland
Daniel, a sales worker, prides himself on his positivity, which sounds all well and good, but doesn't seem to have done much for him in the world of relationships so far. He says heās hoping to get as much advice as he can from the experts: āMarried At First Sight UK is a big experience and quite nerve-racking in many ways,ā he said. āHowever, it is something that will allow me to shift my patterns in terms of relationships and itās a blessing to have the professional and scientific advice to help me.ā

Business protection specialist Robert is the life and soul of the party. Ex military man Franky is a strength and conditioning coach who has always been a leader in his professional life. He fought for his country for 15 years, and has since lived in Dubai as an expat. Matt has been through a lot: he most recently overcame a messy breakup, and in 2004, his dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer and Matt decided to quit his corporate career in favour of a role in the cancer charity sector. Heās very outgoing, and spends his spare time at choir practice, and previously as part of a Take That tribute band (brownie points for anyone who can guess he was impersonating). Now, heās keen to find The One that he can settle down and have kids with. āThe reason Iāve come onto the show is because Iām really wanting to meet that special person that I can start building a life with and have a family. Care home manager and fireman Luke appears to have it all: a job, a house, and all the attributes of a gentleman. But, such is life, his last relationship broke down and heās been battling with self confidence ever since. Josh, who works in insurance, is all about ambition, competitiveness and drive, which he says has helped him succeed in everything in life ā including his sporting career as a teenager, during which time his father passed away. Megan is a wellness coach with a particular interest in the mental health of young people, after she faced her own battles due to her father passing away when she was eight. Sassy saleswoman Nikita has confidence for days. She speaks her mind, is stubborn, but also wears her heart on her sleeve.
