All our prayers are going towards the one and only Material Girl. The legendary Madonna is currently dealing with a bacterial infection, her manager Guy Oseary revealed to fans on Wednesday, June 28.

“On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several day stay in the ICU,” he wrote in a statement posted to Instagram. From the verbiage, it seems that the singer is now out of intensive care, but this has not been confirmed.

“Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected,” he continued. Thank goodness! Of course, this will necessarily disrupt her plans for the time being, as Guy explained: “At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. The post immediately attracted well wishes from fans and friends, including Zooey Deschanel, who wrote, “Hope she feels better very soon!” and another user who added, “Health comes first. Get well soon Queen.”

In her last post before her hospital stay, Madonna shared pictures from tour prep, showing herself and her team hard at work and captioning the shots, “The Calm Before The Storm……….”
