Maddie Ziegler is a Gen Z phenomenon. She’s played Velma in the academy award-winning West Side Story alongside Ariana Debose, danced in Sia’s top-viewed music videos and built a social media following with a combined reach of over 18 million people. Her name alone has generated over 2.4 billion views on TikTok, and she’s not even 20.
The 19-year-old is the definition of a triple-threat, modern-day multi-hyphenate: Actress, Dancer, Influencer and, oh yeah, Makeup Mogul, too. Today, she launches her second beauty collaboration with viral beauty brand, Morphe – or more specifically, it’s little sister sub-brand, Morphe 2, so we caught up with her for all the deets.
“Makeup is literally my favourite thing in the whole world. It inspires me so much to be playful in a different way,” Maddie tells GLAMOUR. “Dancing and acting brings out so much creativity in me, but so does makeup and getting to show your artistry. And at the end of the day, it’s just makeup so you can take it off or try again,” she explains.

The jewel of the collection is the 16-pan Changement Artistry Palette – a mix of neutral mattes and shimmers with unexpected pops of bright yellow, pink and coral, alongside moody greens and blue. "I love this palette so much. I’ve put everything into it,” insists Maddie.

“The reason I called it Changement is because it means ‘to change’ in French, it’s actually a ballet term,” she says, referencing her dancer background. “From my first collection with Morphe [in 2020] to my second collection with Morphe 2, I've evolved so much in a short amount of time and I think that’s what “Changement” is all about – to change, to grow and to evolve," Maddie explains. “I also played into weather because it changes all the time and is very unpredictable, so I named a lot of the eyeshadows different weather terms. My favourite shade would have to be ‘Downpour’ [a deep, foggy blue] it’s so beautiful and pigmented."
Beyond the palette, there's three gel liners, Downpour a steely blue to match its eyeshadow counterpart, Loyal (purple) and Golden Hour (Bronze). There's also a brush set, hair clips and a freckle pen that comes in four shades.
“I always have to gel down my brows – always," says Maddie. “I love a clear brow gel,” she continues. “The one from Makeup by Mario is my favourite. It’s the only one I’ve found that truly keeps them in place all day, but doesn’t feel gluey or sticky.” As for filling them in, she created her Drawn Out Brow & Freckle Pen. “I use it on sparse areas, but I also love to use it to enhance my freckles because sometime makeup covers them, so this brings them back to life.”
Away from her own collection, Maddie has a lot of respect for fellow beauty creators. “I’m truly obsessed with the Rhode Salted Caramel Lip Peptide Treatment. Whatever Hailey [Bieber] put in this product, it’s gorgeous. I have three of them now (one in my makeup bag, car and purse),” Maddie reveals. “My lips crave this product. It’s the most hydrated my lips feel, and it’s the most delicious taste. I don’t want it to run out, it’s my favourite.”

And she's stuck firmly to the beauty tips she's picked up from growing up in the entertainment industry. “When I used to perform with Sia and on stage my makeup artist, Tonya Brewer, would always use cream blushers on me – from the age of around 11. Since then I’ve been hooked. I’m a cream girl, I love all cream products,” Maddie confides. "I know some people would only use powders, because that’s best for sweating, but being young and trying to take care of my skin, I try not to put too much product on my skin. So, I love a cream blush, like the one from Tower 28. Even if I just add that and some brow gel, it’s a way to look more put-together but without overdoing it.
