Get ready to head back to Wakanda because MAC just launched a Black Panther makeup collection, bringing superhero vibes to your everyday look. The collab arrives just in time for the release of Marvel Studios' Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which hits cinemas on November 11th, 2022.
Available to shop now, the limited-edition MAC x Black Panther makeup collection includes staples such as brushes, kohl and liquid eyeliners and a makeup bag.
But the star of the collection is, without a doubt, the gorgeous Eye Shadow x 8: Marvel Studios' Black Panther Collection By MAC, an all-new eight-pan eyeshadow palette featuring creamy pops of colour – think jewel tones, earthy mattes and shimmering metallics inspired by the colours, characters and textures of Wakanda – that are intensely pigmented minus any heaviness.
“Like the vibrant world of Wakanda, #MACxWakandaForever features lavish saturated hues that look fantastic on everyone – especially those with rich skin tones,” says Fatima Thomas, Senior Artist.
The collection also includes no fewer than four shades of lipstick: a bright cool fuchsia, aptly named after the Wakandan Sunset; a matte blue red called Dora Milaje and for lovers of more hushed hues, there's Royal Integrity (matte warm chocolate) and Story of Home (pink neutral).
Or if you prefer more of a glossy stain, look no further than MAC's famed Love Me Liquid Lipcolour in four new shades ranging from purple to red hues. Then for a hint of cinematic sparkle, add a slash of translucent gold, courtesy of Lip Glass in Feelin' It, over the top.
And because nothing says star power like a mega-watt highlighter, the Black Panther collection also features a duo of Extra Dimension Skinfinishes. First there's Royal Challenge, a warm rose-flecked gold shade, then Royal Vibrancy, a golden chocolate bronze.
