Love Is Blind truly reinvented dating shows. I mean, we all love young hot singletons on the likes of Love Island, Too Hot To Handle, and The Bachelor attempting to build a deeper connection with each other on the back of their initial red-hot attraction  – but we're totally here for the focus to be back on genuinely getting to know one another.

Luckily for us, Netflix has realised we can't get enough of Love Is Blind, and just weeks after dropping Love Is Blind: After the Altar for season three, it has released the trailer for the upcoming fourth season. Oh, and that's not all. They have also given us a release date of March 24, so there is not long to go!

The show's premise centres on a group of singletons placed in their own pods where they date one another without knowing what each other looks like. Once they find someone they believe is their perfect match, they get engaged (yes, really!) and finally see each other IRL. The show goes on to follow the pair's journey after the show, culminating in their big wedding day, and see whether they actually make it down the aisle and if they exchange vows. Note: so many couples in previous seasons have rejected their other half at the altar, so it's not a fairytale.

The show will be set in America's Pacific Northwest region of Seattle in season four, and the cast is yet to be announced. But honestly, we can totally tell that we're in for a wild ride, thanks to the trailer alone, which promises viewers they will "fall in love like never before". One unidentified male contestant can be heard saying, "I set this bar crazy high", while another adds, "I just hope it lives up to what we're hoping it will." There are a few short clips of contestants getting comfortable in their pods, as well as shots of engagement rings and even a woman having a dazzler placed on her hand. Exciting! The clip also features fan reactions to major viral moments in previous seasons and an appearance from RuPaul's Drag Race's Katya and Trixie Mattel.

Giving further context on the new season, Netflix revealed: "Singles who want to be loved for who they are have signed up for a less-conventional approach to modern dating in Seattle and will choose someone to marry without ever meeting them. Over several weeks, the newly engaged couples will move in together, plan their wedding and find out if their physical connection matches their strong emotional bond developed in the Pods." It was added, "When their wedding day arrives, will real-world realities and external factors push them apart, or will they marry the person they fell blindly in love with?"

The fourth season of Love Is Blind, which Nick and Vanessa Lachey will host again, will hit Netflix with its first four episodes on March 24. The following three episodes will land on March 31, the following three on April 7, and then the season finale will land on April 14. Love Is Blind seasons one to three are available to stream on Netflix.
