The author of Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging, Louise Rennison, has sadly passed away at the age of 63.
Her publisher Harper Collins confirmed the news yesterday: "It is with huge sadness that we can confirm the death of our much loved author and friend, Louise Rennison."
Rennison was wildly regarded as one of the funniest teen writers. She released Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging in 1999 and the world fell head over heels for the teenage lead character, Georgia Nicolson.
Nine other books followed and the film adaption, combining her first and second books, titled Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging was released in 2008. The film starred Georgia Groome in the lead role alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson who played the love interest, Robbie.
