The Manor HouseLondon, UK££
Six reasons you'll want to stay here
This gorgeous HUGE townhouse nestled in a Welsh valley is the perfect place to gather up friends and family for weekend or holiday. We fell in love with this property whilst visiting for a family birthday. Where else could we cram all our families into one space and still not bump into each other before dinner?
The Manor House has nothing less than 9 bedrooms, copious bathrooms, stunning drawing rooms, dining room and kitchens (yes plural). We recommend releasing your inner child and losing yourself in the staircases, floors and secret entrances – if you can find your way back to your room after drinks in the drawing room you must work for MI5.
The décor is fitting for the period and has a genuine charm – it’s really like stepping back in time. Everything you could possible need is at your disposal from kitchen implement to towels. There’s even a welcome box of yummy Welsh treats on arrival.
Keep looking in this property and you’ll find all sorts of secrets such as a wine cellar and an entire floor for the kids with games, toys, TV, and pool table (we never actually saw our kids during our stay).
It’s the perfect setting for a big gathering out of town - set in the small village of Llanfyllin where you can find all the essentials you’ll need for your visit. Arrange for a food delivery upon arrival – then you hardly need to leave your cozy spot at all.
Don’t forget to make the most of amazing surroundings – from rivers, mountains and even the seaside there’s plenty of outdoor fun to be had. Check out the castles at Chirk and Powis on a day trip if you’re looking for a bit of history or stay local – the village has an impressive number of pubs, cafes and restaurants.
