All the rumours are true. Lizzo has joined the Star Wars universe, and she couldn't be more excited for her journey to a galaxy far, far away.
No, she's not suddenly joining the Jedi Order or designing yet another Death Star. The singer, along with a handful of other celebs, is making a cameo on The Mandalorian, Disney+'s Western-style series about Din Djarin (aka Pedro Pascal with a helmet on) and Grogu (aka. Baby Yoda).
In the sixth episode of the third season, Din and Grogu visit Plazir-15, an independent planet that's neither desolate nor fascist, but opulent and glamorous, per EW. It's ruled by Duchess and Captain Bombardier…played by Lizzo and Jack Black. Oh, my fangirl heart!
On Instagram, the singer celebrated her role by showing off all her Grogu merch, and she has… a lot.

“I’m in Star Wars YALL!” she wrote. The post got a congratulatory “😄🙌” from Christopher Lloyd, who also appears in the episode.
The Yitty designer also pointed out that fans have been manifesting this for a while, though of course LucasFilm couldn't let her confirm until the episode dropped.
