The ultimate reaction has to be from his BFF, Kate Winslet, who was all teary-eyed when he won...

Same Kate, same.

Leo kept his acceptance speech short and sweet, saying: "Let us not take this planet for granted. I do not take this night for granted."

The mega star had previously been nominated for What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993), The Aviator (2004), Blood Diamond (2006) and The Wolf of Wall Street (2013). He was also nominated for best picture as a producer.

Although he didn't say what we were all thinking during his speech, he did make us chuckle while getting his Oscar engraved. Speaking to the woman doing the engraving, he said,

"Do you do this every year? I wouldn't know."

It's no secret that everyone and their mother wanted Leonardo DiCaprio to win the Oscar. After FIVE nominations and no golden statuette, the man deserved a win - even Adele was supporting him...

The singer took to Instagram to show her support for Leo (in an adorably dorky way). She said: "Good luck Leo! Everyone loves you because you're the best. Meet me at the clock anytime bruv!"
