Lauren Conrad has chopped her hair way shorter - and the star's decision to take her length from lob to bob has nothing to do with style.
After taking to Instagram Stories to share a slow-motion video of her hair in a ponytail about to be chopped, the actress revealed to People why she just had to get a haircut.
"I just cut it off. Honestly, it’s more of a time saver. I have to blow dry my hair while my son is napping and it doesn’t always last that long so less hair is less time. I don’t have time for a lot of hair."
Behind the scissors was Lauren's go-to hairstylist Kristin Ess: "Kristin is so sweet, she’s been coming to my house for appointments just because it’s hard for me to get out and I just asked her to cut it all off," - The Hills' star commented about her gal pal.

Kristin also took to Instagram to talk about the new cut: "Last week we travelled 3 years back in time and returned to the chop that kicked off my bob & lob obsession on my original kween.”
And it has been our obsession for years, too. In 2014 all we could talk about was Lauren Conrad's haircut - it was the new Jennifer Aniston.
So she did get the chop to to make her new mum-life easier, but she wants to make clear that this is not a mum cut: “Kristin doesn’t do mom cuts.”
Lauren who's been a hair inspiration of ours for years, and her hubby William Tell welcomed a baby boy named Liam James, in July. You need to see the kiddo's pictures on her Instagram - it will seriously make you broody.
