Lady Gaga has made a show of support to Ed Sheeran after he quit Twitter for good over abuse from trolls.
Ed had previously taken a year-long sabbatical from the platform while prepping his new album and travelling with his girlfriend Cherry Seaborn.
He returned to Twitter earlier this year, but told The Sun that he'd left his 19.2 million followers because reading negative comments was a "head-f***".
He said, âIâve actually come off Twitter completely. I canât read it. I go on it and thereâs nothing but people saying mean things. Twitterâs a platform for that. One comment ruins your day. But thatâs why Iâve come off it. The head-f*** for me has been trying to work out why people dislike me so much.â
Lady Gaga, who runs an anti-bullying campaign called the Born This Way Foundation, posted a picture of herself with the singer and called on people to treat each other better â appropriately enough, she did this on the "kind" platform, Instagram, rather than on Twitter.

âWhat an incredible talented artist I LOVE ED," she wrote. "[He] deserves all our love and respect like all humans do. I wish all people on the internet would be positive and loving and apart of creating an online community that is kind and empowering, not hateful and mean. No reason to tear down an artist simply because they are on top. Work harder to be kinder everybody. That should be your first duty to humanity."
