Little monsters, LG7 is coming. Lady Gaga has just added a mysterious countdown to her website — and everyone is predicting the long-awaited announcement of a new album. Finally! Aside from her 2024 album, Harlequin, which was, effectively, a Joker: Folie à Deux soundtrack, Gaga's last album was 2020's (talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, etc.) Chromatica.
When is Lady Gaga releasing her new album?
Gaga hasn't officially announced a release date for her next album. Here's what we know so far: Her website now features an abstract, reflective blue background and a countdown – which will end next Monday, 27 January at 4pm – that is rotating in a circle like the hand of a clock. When you ‘rub out’ the background with the mouse, it reveals the text “LG7” a.k.a. – Lady Gaga's seventh album.
In other words, we may be getting a release date (and a title? a track list?) on Monday.
The way he looks at her!
What do we know about Lady Gaga's next album?
Gaga may not have given us a release date to mark in our calendars, but she has dropped a single, Disease, back in October.
She has also dropped a few hints about what fans can expect, sharing images from the studio and even playing snippets from the album in one Instagram video.

She also opened up about the album during the Gaga Chromatica Ball film premiere.
“I am in the studio every single day. I have written so many songs, I’ve been producing so many songs, and it’s nothing like anything that I’ve ever made before,” she teased. “I love to break genre, and I love to explore music. There’s something really beautiful about knowing that you will be loved no matter what you do.”
She added that the album was, in many ways, a continuation of Chromatica.
“Something I’m definitely exploring right now is sort of the art of intensity and I think that the art of intensity actually began during this tour,” she said. “But I’m not done with it yet.”
It's all happening!

She also teased some of the new music at the end of the film.

Well, it seems inevitable: I'll be staring at that countdown clock for the next week before making LG7 my entire personality for the month of February.
