But wait, you are thinking, who is Lady Gaga engaged to? This is a good question because Lady Gaga's fiancé, Michael Polansky, is not in showbiz at all. In fact, he's kind of… just a normal guy. That is, if you think having a net worth of several (hundred) million and working alongside Napster's Sean Parker is “normal.”
Gaga and her Silicon Valley bigwig boyfriend have shared many a sweet selfie on Instagram, and, as her press tour for Joker 2 ramps up, they've been making a few more red carpet appearances, too.
On a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Gaga revealed that she and Polansky have been busy planning their wedding.
“We actually talk about going to the courthouse, just the two of us, and ordering Chinese food,” she said, before adding, “Knowing me, also, it could become like a circus with unicorns.”

2016 (?)
It’s unclear exactly when Gaga and Harvard grad Polansky, who worked for a number of Sean Parker’s ventures (peep his impressive LinkedIn), first meet. But here’s a possibility: In 2016, Gaga performed at a cancer benefit, which is where she met her future costar and director Bradley Cooper, according to W.
Elle identifies this fundraiser as being for the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy and says the event was held at Parker’s home. One might safely assume that Polansky also attended since he runs the foundation, so this could be where they first came into contact.
2019
According to Page Six, they get together some time after Gaga ended her engagement to Christian Carino. The outlet’s source speculates that the pair have known each other “for a while” via Parker’s social circle, and pegs the start of their relationship to Parker’s birthday party in December 2019. They are spotted kissing on New Year’s Eve, per Entertainment Tonight.

After a dazzling performance on the bank of the River Seine during the 2024 Olympics opening ceremonies, the artist attended a swimming event with Polansky, where she was introduced to French prime minister Gabriel Attal. In a TikTok video of the moment, shared by Attal, Gaga can be heard referring to Polansky as “my fiancé.”
People later confirmed that the couple had been secretly engaged for “several months” but had been keeping the news under wraps. Per the report, the pair are now planning their wedding.

Gaga revealed that she had loved learning about Polansky's childhood in Minnesota when the pair took a road trip to visit his father. “He took me to a house party… Everybody was, like, hanging out and we ordered pizza and it was just really cool,” she said.
She then opened up about his proposal.
“He proposed to me right after my birthday. So my birthday passed and I was like, ‘Well, I thought he was going to propose but then maybe…’”
After her birthday, Polansky planned a rock climbing trip for the couple. “You climb rocks?” asked an incredulous Kimmel. “I do now. I would do anything for love,” she replied with a smile.
“He didn’t propose to me at the top,” Gaga went on. “We climbed up to the top, took some photos, and then we went back down. And we were just walking back to the room and talking...
