Kim Kardashian and North West are officially a fashion duo. The mother-daughter pair attended The Daily Front Row’s 7th Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards at The Beverly Hills Hotel together on Sunday, April 23. Although they did not exactly coordinate their looks — Kim wore grey and North all black — they agreed on one very running subtle theme: silver necks.
Up-and-coming actor Kim, who presented her longtime hairstylist Chris Appleton with the award for hair artist of the year, wore a grey Rick Owens two-piece set. Her hair — styled by Chris, naturally — was sleek and straight in a middle part à la Cher. For makeup, she went for her signature contoured look with pink cheeks and dramatic, feathery eyelashes. The Skims co-founder accessorised with metallic Rene Caovilla sandals that wrapped around her ankles, and a massive silver choker that covered her entire neck.
The nine-year-old social media star and her pals strutted their stuff as the pop icon professed her admiration.
North, nine, also went for a monochromatic look but with a very different vibe. She wore an all-black suit which included a cropped tuxedo jacket, flared utility trousers with zippers, and chunky platform boots. She wore her hair in a high ponytail reminiscent of Ariana Grande’s signature. The neckline of North’s black crew-neck top has a silver embellishment, which, in its own subtle way, matches her mum Kim Kardashian’s extreme silver neck.

“I am so honoured to be here to present Chris Appleton with the best stylist, I think, of the year, award? Of the universe? Hair stylist of the year, Chris Appleton,” Kim gushed of Appleton, per USA Today. “I can tell him all of my personal business, and it will never get out,” she added. “We can party in Vegas all night long until three in the morning and get tattoos — (but) not me — like we did last night. That’s why we’re a little tired.”
Her hair and makeup seemingly transformed her into a long-lost Kardashian-Jenner sister.
Kim also took the opportunity to personally and publicly congratulate Chris on his recent engagement to actor Lukas Gage. “I am so happy he’s in a relationship right now, and that it’s, like, out there,” she said. “I’m so tired of all my girlfriends and guy friends asking me if you’re available.”
