If we've learned anything from covering Kim Kardashian and her family's beauty looks over the last decade or so, it's that we should take major changes with a grain of salt. Obviously, when inches appear overnight, we know it's extensions and not a miracle hair-growth potion; and similarly, when they go from long to short between public appearances or Instagram posts, there's a good chance a pair of scissors didn't actually come anywhere near their heads. But that doesn't mean it's not still double-take-worthy, like Kim Kardashian's new bob.
Kardashian revived her famous “Balenci Barbie” look on July 8, sharing an all-pink Balenciaga ensemble to her Instagram Stories. Unlike the bubblegum-pink outfit she wore when she first introduced the alter ego in 2022, this time, she was wearing the hottest of hot pink outfits. And unlike the long, blonde hair she wore back then, her mirror selfies reveal a totally different hairstyle.

The Skims founder appears to be wearing a flippy bob. The middle-parted style is topped off with a cute curl right on the middle of her forehead. It's hard to say if we're looking at the finished look, though, as there are several styling clips in Kardashian's hair — but this is high fashion we're talking about, so that could be part of the vibes for all we know.
The closer-up photo of two posted on Tuesday afternoon reveals that Kardashian's nails are also quite short. She appears to be wearing a pale pink polish on a sharply squared-off manicure that doesn't extend past the ends of her fingertips.
Knowing Kim Kardashian, she'll look totally different tomorrow. Hell, she'll probably reveal this wasn't a bob in the next five minutes. But she never fails to get our gears going, thinking about beauty switch-ups we may want to try ourselves.
