If you are one of the people who assumed that Kelly Clarkson is on Ozempic because she lost weight, let me correct the record for you really quick: She’s not.
Speaking to her guest, Whoopi Goldberg, on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Clarkson clarified that she is on medication that has contributed to her weight loss, but it’s not the one everybody assumes. “Mine is a different one than people assume, but I ended up having to do that too because my bloodwork got so bad,” she said, per People. “My doctor chased me for two years, and I was like, ‘No, I’m afraid of it. I already have thyroid problems. Everybody thinks it’s Ozempic, but it’s not. It’s something else.” The medication Clarkson takes, she said, helps her body break down sugar.
Ozempic discourse is not a free-pass to comment on women's bodies.

Clarkson’s weight, like for many adults, has fluctuated over the years. And she has a good sense of humour about it. At a show during her Las Vegas residency in January, she joked with the audience, “Dude, this [outfit] is tight. Like, I lost weight and [my styling team is] like, ‘Let’s get you into this tight shit.’”
Whether or not any person, celebrities like Kelly Clarkson included, is on Ozempic or any other medication is really not anybody’s business. A lesson Barbra Streisand learned the hard way.
