As the January urge to hibernate fully takes hold, we've got a top recommendation for your Netflix watch list.

Heist show Kaleidoscope has joined the ranks of Money Heist and Lupin on the streamer service, with a very interesting twist – there's no set order for what order you need to watch the show's episodes in.

There are reportedly 40,320 ways to watch the show, with each episodes assigned a certain colour. Both Green and Violet are flashbacks, you might choose to watch them first. Or, you might start with the heist episode itself, White. It's completely up to you, and a great opportunity to mix up your entertainment experience.

According to Netflix, the aim of the this “non-linear approach to storytelling” was to “build intrigue and suspense uniquely, with Netflix members each having a different immersive viewing experience”.

Here's everything (else) we know about Kaleidoscope so far.

What is Kaleidoscope about?

The official Netflix synopsis reads as follows: "Spanning 25 years, Kaleidoscope is an all-new anthology series following a crew of masterful thieves and their attempt to crack a seemingly unbreakable vault for the biggest payday in history.

“Guarded by the world’s most powerful corporate security team, and with law enforcement on the case, every episode reveals a piece of an elaborate puzzle of corruption, greed, vengeance, scheming, loyalties and betrayals. How did the crew of thieves plan it? Who gets away with it? Who can be trusted?

“Loosely inspired by the real-life story where seventy billion dollars in bonds went missing in downtown Manhattan during Hurricane Sandy, Kaleidoscope consists of eight episodes spanning from 24 years before the heist to 6 months after.”

Call us all kinds of intrigued.

What are people saying about Kaleidoscope so far?

Well, first of all, it seems to be rather addictive, and messing with Netflixers' well-meaning New Year's Resolutions to get more sleep etc.

One fan tweeted: “Me: this new year, I'm going to focus on a better sleep schedule. Also me: stays until 1:30am to finish #KALEIDOSCOPE”. We feel you.

Others are all over the “no traditional order of episodes” thing, trying to come up with optimum order of colours, or episodes, to watch the show in for the best experience.

Other fans are just full on lusting over Tati Gabrielle, and honestly, can we blame them?!

The Guardian has also called Kaleidscope “nothing less than a bold new vision of storytelling”, so it's worth checking out to see if you agree.
