The meme kicked off after pictures of Ivanka Trump and Trudeau at a discussion about the role of women in the workforce appeared to show Ivanka swooning over her neighbour.
Social media users then suggested Ivanka had a thumping great crush on Trudeau for his looks, brain and generally just not being a gigantic asshat.
Photographs of other celebrities appearing to be overcome on meeting the Canadian premier soon surfaced, with the Duchess of Cambridge also seeming to be smitten.
Actually, scratch that, everyone loves Trudeau.
But then maybe Trudeau had a crush of his own...

A photograph that Ivanka posted herself proved significantly less popular, as it showed her seated at the Oval Office, flanked by her father and Trudeau.
It was immediately pointed out that Ivanka holds no official role in the White House and it was therefore inappropriate for her to be there.
