Julia Fox just took the thigh-high boots trend to a whole new—and much weirder—level.
Always one to push the style envelope, the actor turned heads in yet another LBD when she was photographed in Los Angeles on August 12.
The actor, best known for Uncut Gems (the movie and the meme), paired a strapless leather minidress with a pair of interesting cutout leather boots and a geometric handbag.
However, neither the boots nor Fox's signature black eyeshadow look was the most eye-catching aspect of this ensemble.
To shake up an otherwise standard going-out look, Fox topped off the outfit with a tight black skull cap with a thick chin strap. She left her straight brown hair tucked underneath the strap and in front of her ears. Why not?
Even as the summer reaches record-high temperatures, thigh-high boots are making a sartorial comeback.
On August 12, Rihanna was photographed wearing a slouchy, oversized version of the shoe on a date night with A$AP Rocky. She paired the boots with a denim miniskirt and a large RZA T-Shirt that may or not have been stolen from her partner's closet.
For his part, Rocky was dressed casually in a pair of ripped blue jeans, a graphic T-shirt, and flannel, which he styled with a backward purple cap and a pair of Gucci x Adidas leather clogs that cost $1,250.
Meanwhile, Julia Fox may have some competition when it comes to unexpected ways to style a pair of thigh-highs. On August 13, Kim Kardashian shared a perplexing “workout” video wearing a nude string bikini with her dramatic boots. “Gym time,” she captioned the post.
