After a month of premieres and press events, the Challengers crew knows a thing or two about the red carpet. All three main cast members — Zendaya, Mike Faist, and Josh O'Connor — attended the 2024 Met Gala, with Zendaya serving as co-chair of the event and shutting down the carpet in not one or two but three looks. The group didn't walk the red carpet together, so when O'Connor saw his co-star's look, he had the cutest reaction.
While walking the carpet, O'Connor stopped to chat with Variety, who showed him a pic of Zendaya in her first Galliano gown. In case you need us to jog your memory, this is said look:
“Ohhhh, my goodness,” O'Connor says when he sees the full look. “Wow. Incredible.”

Though O'Connor saw many of Zendaya's best premiere looks while on the Challengers press tour, it's clear that he's super proud of his friend and costar — and a big fan of her fashion sense. We wish we had a reaction to her second look, too, because it was just as major. Proof:
O'Connor has been to the Met Gala before, but his Challengers costar Faist made his debut, with both actors wearing whimsical custom Loewe.
Faist made a splash wearing a black tuxedo jacket with an enormous, glittering turnip pinned to the lapel. O'Connor wore a black suit with a long train, a white bowtie, and floral clogs.
Though Z was probably a little busy with her co-chair duties, she probably linked up with the boys at some point in the evening; you'd hate to miss the turnip pin!
