That's right - Jodie Foster has married her girlfriend, the photographer and actress Alexandra Hedison. A representative for the 51-year-old actress confirmed the news to E! , yesterday.
It's well known that Jodie Foster is VERY private, and she only publicly spoke about being gay during a televised speech at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards.
She joked at the time that, "This is not going to be a big coming out speech tonight because I already did my coming out about a thousand years ago back in the stone age - in those very quaint days when a fragile girl would open up to trusted friends and family and co-workers and then gradually proudly to everyone who knew her.
"But now apparently I'm told that every celebrity is expected to honour the details of their private life with a press conference, a fragrance and a primetime reality show.'
Alexandra Hedison, 44, dated Ellen DeGeneres over 10 years ago, and has appeared most recently on The L Word.
