The Harry Potter author was sent a slew of angry messages on Twitter from Scottish National Party supporters (SNP), following the election result last week. Rowling is famously against Scottish independence and made her views well-known during the referendum last year.

And to suggestions that her books should be ceremoniously burnt, she tweeted the following:

After being told by some users that she should leave Scotland for her apparently Judas-like political views, she was sent a series of invites from people from all over the world, asking her to move to their countries. Rowling retweeted their messages.
