Jessica Brown Findlay feels “owned” by Downton Abbey

Jessica Brown Findlay might have left Downton Abbey in 2012, but she says that she still feels "owned" by the hugely successful show.

"The Downton thing is a real double-edged sword. It's four years since I left and I still find myself described as 'Downton's Jessica Brown Findlay'. It's like I'm owned by it," she told ES Magazine.

And there's another thing she won't miss about the show: "Urgh - I f****** hate corsets."

The actress played Lady Sybil Crawley, who died during childbirth, but has gone on to star in Jamaica Inn and A Winter's Tale, with Colin Farrell. When she left the show, Jessica said that she was inundated with offers.

"There was a road available to me that would have been, for many, a more attractive and certainly more commercial route."

"But playing the love interest is just never going to be my bag. I hate the idea of being put in a box of any kind, but especially that sort."
