Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck celebrated their nuptials for the second time in a big white wedding, surrounded by friends and family at Ben's 87-acre estate in Georgia over the weekend. But while at first we could see blurry aerial shots of the frothy fishtail Ralph Lauren dress JLo chose to walk down the aisle in, details on her beauty look were kept under wraps until the singer posted close-ups from the day on her @jlobeauty Instagram account on Tuesday.
Of course, the three separate wedding dresses Jen revealed to her followers were show-stoppers, but we just knew she'd do something hurr-mazing with her beauty look too.
Like her outfits, Jennifer chose to change her hairstyle twice during the wedding to match the vibe of different phases of the day. Her long-time trusted hairstylist, Chris Appleton, took to Instagram to share the deets. “What a weekend," he said. "The first look hair was pulled back off the face and soft and bouncy in the back,” he explained. If you look closely, Chris created an optical illusion hair moment for Jen as she walked down the aisle, with her hair appearing to be in an updo from the front, where it looks slicked back and softly centre-parted to create an elegant formality for photos.

But guests watching her from behind, while standing at the alter, could see her hair left loose and tumbling down her back, adding drama alongside her low-back dress. They hybrid hairstyle also allowed a secure base for Chris to tuck in her veil, where her hair gathered at the crown. It's not the first time, Jen's been tactical about her wedding hairstyle, choosing another half-up style for her official Vegas ceremony last month.
For the second look, “we dressed the hair into an intricate elegant updo,” Chris explained, adding “looking like a true queen Mrs Affleck.” For evening shenanigans, Jen opted to have her hair entirely up and out the way in a sleek knotted bun so she could party the night away uninhibited. Plus it allowed for easier close-up inspection of her two other gowns – one a figure-hugging number with beads from top to bottom, and the other a sleek satin cut-out dress with a detachable bubble chiffon hood (gauzy and sheer so you could still see that epic bun, of course).
As for makeup, we were treated to a close-up of Jen's feline smoky eye, nude lips, groomed brows and stunning highlighter (swept down her noses and dotted in the inner eye corners). Details of the products used were kept schtum, but we're hoping to see a JLo Beauty eyeshadow palette from the singer soon if her gorgeous eye look is anything to go by.

And after switching up tradition with a warm greige nail colour at her Vegas wedding, JLo chose a classic almond-shaped milky-pink mani for her most recent “I dos,” created by her go-to nail artist, Tom Bachik.
