A pixie crop is a pretty brave hairstyle for anyone to trial. So when we heard Jennifer Lawrence had taken the plunge, the excitement in the GLAMOUR office was palpable.
As hair news goes, this is pretty big. So why did you do it Jennifer? Without giving us time to emotionally prepare ourselves?
Because her hair got to "that awkward gross length". Obviously.
Fielding questions at a fan event, she said: "This isn't how Katniss is going to look in the next movie, don't worry. I cut it earlier … then it grew to that awkward gross length.
"It couldn't get any uglier."
She revealed that since she was to wear a wig in the follow-up to Catching Fire, which has not yet begun shooting, there was nothing holding her back from going for the chop.
