Fans of the TV show Nashville will recognise the girl playing Jem - it's 20-year-old Aubrey Peeples (aka the oh-so sly, Layla Grant in Nashville).

For those of you who need to be reacquainted with the storyline - Jem is about a record executive who secretly moonlights as a pop star with the aid of a super-computer named Synergy.

The movie, created by Jon M. Chu, Producer Jason Blum, and Scooter Braun (Justin Bieber's manager - sure.) is involved with the project

As well as Aubrey, we have Stefanie Scott, Hayley Kiyoko, and Aurora Perrineau who all round out Jem's band, The Holograms, as Kimber, Aja, and Shana.
