Jane Krakowski made a surprise confession on the Emmys red carpet yesterday - she auditioned for the role of Rachel Green on Friends. The actress told Giuliana Rancic that she went for the role - but lost out to Jennifer Aniston.
"I, like almost every actor in the world, auditioned for Friends," Krakowski said. "I wish I had gotten that one. I actually auditioned for Rachel and didn't go very far."
Jane said she was "very sad" about the setback but she's done OK despite it, with roles in Ally McBeal and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
