GLAMOUR chats to new Bond Girl and face of Prada Candy Florale Léa Seydoux about all things fragrance, confidence and, of course, 007.
GLAMOUR: For what occasion would you wear Prada Candy?
LEA: When I am happy.
G: What was it like working on the campaign?
<p class="Body1">L: It was really refreshing to be
given the freedom and space to do as I felt best in the role.
Steven Meisel, for Prada Candy Florale, clearly has such a
sophisticated understanding of image that he can give you this
freedom, even though it can be quite intimidating.
G: When it comes to applying fragrance, are you a spritzer, dabber or walk-through kinda girl?
L: I like to apply a fragrance on my neck. I do not really like clouds of scent; I don't think it is sophisticated when someone over smells perfume. I think the way you perfume yourself reveals your personality, like if you spray too much it may mean you are not a confident person.
G: Confidence is key for a Bond girl, how confident are you in real life?
L: I am a shy person but I learnt to be more confident being an actor.
G: Being a Bond girl can require serious kick-ass moves - what have you done to prepare?
L: All the actors are being highly prepared for this movie to impregnate the Bond universe. I work out a lot.
G: Who is your favourite Bond Girl and why?
L: Eva Green. She is incredible.
G: What was it like working with Daniel Craig and did he meet your expectations?
L: He is respectful and has a good spirit. I like working with him, he is not invasive. It is a pleasant ambiance.
G: What was your scariest audition?
L: The girl with a dragon tattoo.
G: What's your "actual" Bond Girl name - (Name of first pet and mother's maiden name)?
L: Madeleine Swann.
Lea is the face of Prada Candy Florale EDT, from £41 for 50ml.
