An open casting for a new movie directed by Idris Elba has been "shut down" after too many people turned up looking to audition for extras.
The London-based casting call promised paid extra work for the film which is being directed by the Luther actor and "set in the Afro-Caribbean community in Hackney, 1983."
Hopefuls were told to bring: "Just yourself. As the film is set in 1983 feel free to wear anything you think might be appropriate."
Well it seems the actor can draw in the crowds as the casting became oversubscribed very quickly, with swarms of people arriving to audition and even reports on Twitter that a girl was nearly "crushed".

Queues went down the road with around "900 people waiting" and police were called before the actor was advised to call off the casting.
A spokesperson told the BBC: "The planned event - an audition - has been cancelled by the organisers following discussion with police."
