Who - and what - we love right now (and what we definitely don't)

Heroes

Matt Damon

Talking about his work as co-founder of water charity, Water.org, the actor said, "It's an objective fact that if you want to solve problems of extreme poverty you have to engage women." Proving that he is not only an intelligent philanthropist but a feminist too. We approve.

Joanna Walsh

The writer and illustrator behind the awesome #readwomen2014 campaign that's fighting literary sexism and bigging up female authors. Check out Team GLAMOUR's recommended writers here.

Mick Ebling

Founder of Not Impossible Labs, a Californian non-profit, Ebling has set up a 3D-printing lab in Sudan, so that the local community can supply the low-cost prosthetics to victims of war.

Douchebags

Nigel Farage

In another spectacular moment of political suicide, the UKIP leader said that women working in the City were "worth less" to employers if they have children. Top tip for Nigel: before you say things, think: 'Could this offend 51% of the voting public?' Or maybe, um, stop speaking in public. Like, for good?

Justin Bieber

*Sigh* Oh Bieber, we've been here before. You have a very public meltdown/run in with the police, you end up on our Douchebag list. And repeat. Enough has been said about the Biebs latest mishap but can we just pause to draw attention to this cake. It's one way to deal with the news, we guess.

Beth Tweddle's twitter trolls

The Olympic gold-medal winning gymnast was subject to vile abuse online, when she took part in a Twitter Q&A for Sky Sports News. It's becoming a (sadly) familiar story where high profile women can't say or do anything online, without having to put up with this rubbish.
