Daniel Radcliffe has admitted that he won't be going to watch the new play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in person.
Appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this week, Daniel Radcliff told the audience that he is genuinely "intrigued" by the show, and has heard "fantastic" things about the production but is unlikely to see it.
"I just feel that sitting in an audience of what will, for most of the near future, be very enthusiastic Harry Potter fans might be not a relaxing way to see the show! So, not for the time being, but I've heard it's fantastic", he explained.
This wasn't the first time the 26-year old voiced his reservations about going to see the play as he told E! News last week: "It would be a weird one. I could be completely wrong in this, but I feel like if I went to see it that night, there's going to be a lot of Harry Potter fans there in the audience obviously, and would that then become a thing?"
Radcliff, who is currently in New York for his role in the new stage show Privacy, was full of praise when asked about the play's lead actor: "Jamie Parker is a wonderful actor and I'm very happy to see him play me. All of the questions can shift to him now. He can do all the Harry questions now."
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which is set 19 years after The Deathly Hallows and follows Harry and his son Albus Severus Potter, will open in London on 30 July.

Emma Watson has given her thoughts on the casting of Noma Dumezweni to play Hermoine Granger in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child... and she "can't wait".
When the casting for the upcoming West End production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was announced, it was devisive amongst Harry Potter fans and other critics. Some questioned the casting claiming that Hemoine was not intended to be a black character (which was swiftly shut down by J.K Rowling herself who pointed out that no race was specified in Hermoine's description), while many others applauded the casting.
But the opinion that everyone wanted to know about was that of Emma Watson, who played the originial Hermoine Granger in the Harry Potter film series... And she was all for it:
