The 26th January is here which means the highly-anticipated H&M Home x PANTONE collection has arrived. To say we're excited would be an understatement, not least because we've been desperate to inject the trending Calm & Soothing and Energy & Joy colour palettes into our interior decor schemes since they started trending TikTok at the dawn of the new year.
Each of the aforementioned - as the brand puts it - emphasises the power of colour to impact a space and its inhabitants. For us, the former palette is reminiscent of Soho House's 76 Dean Street, from its moody teal walls right through to the spatterings of sage green across the chesterfield furniture and bachelor-style bar stools. The latter, on the other hand, errs more towards a maximalist design palette, with echoes of India Madhavi (H&M Home's previous designer collaboration) and the warmth of Emma Chamberlain's beam-clad bedroom on that iconic AD shoot.
While GLAMOUR perhaps leans in favour of the Energy & Joy pieces, ultimately, we know we'll be finding places in our homes for everything from the amber footed tray to the pastel green fluted vase. As they say: calm among the chaos.

Evelina Kravaev-Söderberg, head of Design & Creative at H&M Home, remarked that the collection sets out to boost consumer wellbeing at the start of 2023, adding that no company understands how “colour is essential for both our home and our senses” quite like PANTONE. In 2022, the colour experts gave ‘Viva Magenta’ the prestigious colour of the year accolade; however, in the brand's collaboration with H&M Home, PANTONE have kicked off 2023 with a mix of bright red/plum noir tones (colour code 3517C) and more subdued Turquoise/Sundried Linen shades (colour code 2178C). 2023's colour of the year? It's all to play for. That said, given the early rise of pastel homewares and the January trend business owner Matilda Djerf kicked off with her soft-hue bubble plates, we'd put our money on PANTONE's Light green/Eucalyptus Verbena (colour 2260C). adds 2260C stoneware vase to basket.
At the time of writing, the H&M Home PANTONE collection has launched with a range of cushion covers, scented candles, sculptural vases and decorative trays. But, much like the brand's previous HM.com partnerships, there are more beautiful additions to come from the full range, not least of all a side table in PANTONE colour 5545C which we're eagerly awaiting. We're thinking a leafy monstera, NEOM electric diffuser and a set of colourful Jonathan Adler coasters; now we'll just need to wait for the table to actually launch into the H&M Home PANTONE collection. For now, we're going to be injecting the calm & soothing colour palette into our living room space, perhaps starting with some pistachio 2260C and petrol 548C velvet scatter cushions alongside our existing home decor.
In terms of 2023 homeware trends more widely? We're eyeing up deep wood coffee tables and pleated lampshades (we love this H&M Home pick) and, whether you side with team GLAMOUR as a mid blue/green enthusiast or you'd rather make your house beautiful with a pop of red, apricot and pink, the H&M Home x PANTONE collection will be a welcome addition to your aspirational haute interieurs.
Ahead, more space-elevating pieces from the limited edition H&M Home X PANTONE collab 2023.
