It's been a while since a Netflix trailer has felt quite so impossible to remove your gaze from, and that's just the trailer, so you can expect seriously great things from new biography series Halston.
Never heard of Halston? Roy Halston Frowick was an internationally famous American fashion designer – the first of his kind, really – in the 1970s.
His designs were sleek, minimal, and featured high quality fabrics like cashmere. The clothes along with his own presence in the discotheque scene - think Studio 54 - with A-list friends like Andy Warhol meant he skyrocketed to fame. He sadly passed away after contracting HIV.
Halston's career was full of highs, but he was known for not knowing "when to stop", as shown in the trailer which you can watch below.
Netflix's new series will look at his life both in the fashion world and alone outside of it. Here's what you need to know.
What is Halston about?
The streaming platform teases the show with: "His name built an empire. His style defined an era. American fashion designer Halston skyrockets to fame before his life starts to spin out of control."
It's set in 1970s and 1980s New York and will grapple with the themes of luxury, sex, status and fame.
Who does it star?
Ewan McGregor of Star Wars and Trainspotting takes the lead here in playing Halston.
Other core cast members are Krysta Rodriguez, Rebecca Dayan, Bill Pullman and David Pittu.
When is it out?
Halston drops on Netflix on May 14, so you don't have to wait much longer.
The series is made up of five episodes, each expected to run at around an hour though Netflix are yet to confirm this.
