Awards season is so back. With a vengeance. Yes, in the darkness and bitter cold that is January 2026, it is necessary to obsess over the glitz and glamour of Hollywood's award ceremonies that take over our consciousness this time of year.
From Jessie Buckley's predicted win for Best Actress to a massive list of nominations for Sinners, the nominated actors and projects are quite something this year. We can't wait to see who prevails.
Here's everything we know so far about the upcoming Golden Globes 2026, including who is predicted to win.
When are the Golden Globes 2026?
The ceremony will take place at The Beverley Hilton in (you guessed it) Beverly Hills, California. So while it will be happening during the evening of Sunday 11 January, over here in the UK it will begin around 1 am GMT, if you're up for staying up to keep up with all the news, wins and looks in real time.
Who is hosting the Golden Globes 2026?
Comedian and actor Nikki Glaser will return for the second year in a row to host the 2026 Golden Globes. As well as being a stand-up star, Nikki has hosted FBoy Island and appeared in various Amy Schumer projects such as Trainwreck and I Feel Pretty.
She became the first woman to host the awards solo, and famously called the ceremony “Ozempic’s biggest night.” When she was confirmed as host for 2026, Glaser said in a statement that hosting the Golden Globes was “the most fun I have ever had in my career.”
“I can’t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from The White Lotus who will finally recognise my talent and cast me in season four as a Scandinavian pilates instructor with a shadowy past,” she said.
Where to watch the Golden Globes 2026
While the Golden Globes 2026 will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ for US audiences, it won't be broadcast in the UK. But as ever, on this side of the pond, we can very easily keep up with what's going on at the ceremony online through social media, live clips and reports.
Golden Globes 2026 predictions
Of course, there's no way of knowing who will win until the night in question, but certain nominated actors and films are heavily rumoured to be frontrunners.
For example, Jessie Buckley is predicted to win the Best Actress in a Drama Motion Picture for her performance in Hamnet, alongside Paul Mescal.
Other nominees include:
- Jennifer Lawrence, Die My Love
- Renate Reinsve, Sentimental Value
- Julia Roberts, After the Hunt
- Tessa Thompson, Hedda
- Eva Victor, Sorry, Baby
After a stellar press tour, it's set to be Timothée Chalamet's year this awards season. Could he win the Best Actor gong this year? His turn playing ping pong player and just all-around-chaotic-and-kinda-toxic-guy Marty in Marty Supreme could just swing it for him, because he's admittedly brilliant in it.
His competitors include nominees such as:
- George Clooney, Jay Kelly
- Leonardo DiCaprio, One Battle After Another
- Ethan Hawke, Blue Moon
- Lee Byung-hun, No Other Choice
- Jesse Plemons, Bugonia
The star of the film everyone’s talking about chats with GLAMOUR about how she prepared to play Annie, her colourful red carpet fashion, and the scary (non-vampire) critters that made it onto set.

Ryan Coogler's brilliant vampire thriller Sinners is predicted to sweep the board this awards season, having been nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor – with Michael B Jordan for playing not one, but two characters! – Best Screenplay, Best Original Score, Best Original Song and Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.
Rose Byrne is tipped to win the Best Actress accolade for her performance in If I Had Legs I'd Kick You, where she plays a mother navigating the impact of an absent husband, her daughter's illness, a missing person and a sinister relationship with her therapist.
The other Best Actress nominees are:
- Cynthia Erivo, Wicked: For Good
- Kate Hudson, Song Sung Blue
- Chase Infiniti, One Battle After Another
- Amanda Seyfried, The Testament of Ann Lee
- Emma Stone, Bugonia
Quite deservedly, Michelle Williams is predicted to win Best Actress in a Limited Series for Dying For Sex, arguably one of the best series of 2025 and Williams at her very best. It sees her play Molly Kochan and her real-life story of being diagnosed with terminal cancer, choosing to leave her husband and discover her own sexual identity.
Of course, Stephen Graham is predicted to win a Golden Globe for his incredible performance in the groundbreaking Netflix series Adolescence, with Owen Cooper (who plays his disturbed son Jamie) also nominated for Best Supporting Actor, and Erin Doherty has been nominated for Best Supporting Actress. The whole project has also been nominated for Best Limited Series.
Seth Rogen's The Studio – a star-studded, satirical affair that explores the plight of a newly appointed head of a movie studio who is desperate for celebrity approval – is predicted to win in the Best TV Series, Musical or Comedy category, with Rogen also tipped to secure the gong for Best Actor, TV Musical or Comedy.
