After season 3 of Ginny & Georgia premiered on Netflix this week, everyone wants to know: Will there be a Ginny & Georgia season 4? Thankfully, Netflix answered that question years ago, and the answer is yes!

Two months after Netflix debuted Ginny & Georgia season 2 in January 2023, the streamer renewed the series for an additional two seasons. At the time, stars Antonia Gentry (Ginny), Brianne Howey (Georgia), and the rest of the core cast celebrated the renewal on social media.

The pair may be one of Netflix’s most beloved mother-and-daughter duos, but playing Glamour’s ‘Friendship Test’, it’s clear they’re exceptionally close off-screen, too.

When will Ginny & Georgia season 4 premiere?

Netflix hasn’t announced an exact release date yet. However, judging by the timeline of past seasons, we’d guess season 4 will drop sometime in late 2026 or early 2027.

So far it’s been a two-year wait between seasons: Season 1 premiered in February 2021, followed by season 2 in January 2023 and season 3 in June 2025. However, because the series doesn’t need to wait on Netflix to confirm whether or not it’s been renewed this time around, there’s a chance they could get the ball rolling earlier. (Plus, there’s only so long that Antonia Gentry can reasonably play a high schooler; she’s currently 27.)

The Ginny & Georgia Instagram account revealed in February 2025 that the writers were already making progress on season 4, so hopefully the wait isn’t too long!

Which cast members will return for season 4?

We’d assume that the core cast featured in the celebration of the season 3 and 4 renewal video are all returning, but you know what they say about assuming…

What will season 4 be about?

Major spoilers for season 3 ahead!

Speaking to Deadline after season 3’s premiere in June, showrunner Sarah Lampert suggested that season 4 will tackle Georgia’s growth after the tumultuous (to say the least) events of the past season.

“For season 3, the question I asked is, ‘What would it take to break Georgia?’ And I mean that coming from a place of love for Georgia, because I think she needs to break to build,” Lampert said. “So season 3 was about getting her to a place of being able to build her back differently in season 4.”

That includes revealing the identity of the father of Georgia’s baby, which Lampert added was still up in the air among the writers. “I know whose baby she’s carrying, but I went into the writer’s room this season and I said, ‘Here’s who the daddy is.’ Changed my mind,” Lampert told Deadline. “So it’s live wire in there. I’m telling you right now, I am open to being convinced otherwise.”

And yes, the writers are also tackling what becomes of Austin after he takes the stand to pin the murder of Tom Fuller on his dad. “The kids are not alright,” Lampert said. “Poor Austin, he comes out of season 3, out of everyone, probably the worst off.”

As for whether any of the storylines could open the door for a potential fifth season, Lampert says nothing is off the table.

“I always thought it would end at season 4, just because I knew what the ending was, let’s say, but what we’re finding in the writers room for this season is that there’s actually more there,” she said. “And it would almost feel rushed to get to that ending for it to happen in four. I’m not Netflix. I can’t control whether or not there’s a season five, but I would say what we discovered very early on in the season 4’s writers room is, Oh, there’s more story here.”
