Warning: Spoilers for Ginny & Georgia season 2 ahead.
Get ready, peaches: Ginny & Georgia season 3 is officially on the way — and so is season 4.
The second season of Ginny & Georgia debuted at the top of 2023, almost two years after the show first hit Netflix. The coming-of-age drama/mystery series follows the story of a mother-daughter duo as they adjust to their new lives in a small Massachusetts suburb and the secrets that follow them wherever they go.
Ginny & Georgia made waves in 2021 when it trolled Gilmore Girls in its first teaser trailer and made even more buzz as a controversial fave with some notorious scenes (Oppression Olympics and unfortunate Taylor Swift joke, we're looking at you) — but nevertheless, the show quickly became a Netflix hit, and season 2 was no exception.
Ginny & Georgia's second season held the streaming platform's number 1 series spot on Netflix's Top 10 in the U.S. for two straight weeks and was praised for the way it portrayed mental health struggles and the increased presence of beloved characters like Ginny's father Zion and Ginny's classmate Bracia. Since then, fans have been dying to know whether Ginny & Georgia would be renewed for season 3, and not only do we have an answer but also an official release date.
Fans had so many questions following the season 2 finale, the most pressing one being: What the hell is going to happen to Georgia?! Below, we've gathered everything we know so far about Ginny & Georgia season 3, including cast info, plot details, trailer, as well as release date updates from Netflix and beyond.
When is Ginny & Georgia season 3 coming out on Netflix?
Drumroll, please…. After much waiting, Netflix has confirmed that Ginny & Georgia season 3 will officially premiere on June 5, 2025, so mark your calendars accordingly!
Is there a trailer for Ginny & Georgia season 3? Or any first-look photos?
Netflix released the full-length trailer for Ginny & Georgia season 3 on May 8, 2025, and peaches… are we in for a ride. The trailer, which you can watch above, starts with Georgia and Mayor Paul's wedding."You know what I loved about your wedding. It wasn't this cookie-cutter, copy-and-paste affair. It was very memorable,” Ellen Baker tells Georgia in the kitchen in the future. Georgia replies: “Especially the part where I was arrested.”
The next few scenes give us a glimpse at Georgia and Ginny's lives as the former awaits her trial, which could potentially get her sentenced to life in prison. In the meantime, though, she's just under house arrest and learning to deal with her ankle monitor. “I've always known my mom was different. There's more to her that people don't see,” Ginny says. And, well, cue the tensions and drama.
Previously, Netflix had released the first teaser trailer for Ginny & Georgia season 3 on April 17, 2025. In the teaser trailer, we see Ginny returning to school and Georgia preparing to face the public after leaving jail. “What happens when everything falls apart?” asks Ginny via voiceover. “The rug can be pulled out from under you in a second.”
“Don't you wanna ask me if I did it?” Georgia poses the question of the hour as her murder trial begins, and we see glimpses of the impending emotional fallout: Zion, Cynthia, Joe, Ellen, Gil, Paul, and the kids all look like they're going through hell.
Before the teaser ends, we also see Ginny and Marcus together — almost kissing?! “I'm not a bad person. It's all about perception,” Georgia adds as the on-screen text tells us to Prepare for judgment day.
On April 17 Netflix also released new images from Ginny & Georgia season 3, and they provide your very first look at the aftermath of that cliffhanger season 2 finale; we see mysterious shared looks and potential reconciliations (???) between Georgia and Paul, Ginny and Austin, Cynthia and Joe, Marcus and Ginny, M.A.N.G., and Zion and Ginny. To coincide with the full-length trailer, the streamer put out another set of photos showing Georgia dressed to the nines as she gets into a car followed by cameras, Ginny with her new poetry classmate Wolfe, and Marcus getting close with Abby.
Netflix previously shared two photos that truly set the scene for season 3 to be the “most unhinged season” of the show, as star Brianne Howey previously teased. In the images, we saw Georgia staring blankly behind bars in the first episode of the season and Austin and Ginny sitting in what seems like a courtroom, likely at Georgia's trial or hearing for the murder of Tom Fuller, in the final episode of the season. Yeah… things are about to get wild.
On February 5, 2025, Howey teased the drama of the upcoming season to Entertainment Tonight: “We're behind bars, mama's locked up!” she said. “It's Georgia, where there's a will there's a way… but all of her secrets have been exposed. Georgia was on the run, we were hiding, we were keeping secrets, and now Pandora's Box has been opened… this is Georgia's breakdown season. We see a new side of Georgia, a new side of Ginny — some surprising sides — and the way they both handle this news is, of course, different."
Who is in the cast of Ginny & Georgia season 3?
Ginny & Georgia has a diverse ensemble cast. The series is led by Antonia Gentry and Brianne Howey, who portray Ginny Miller and Georgia Miller, respectively. Diesel La Torraca plays Ginny's younger half-brother, Austin.
The series also stars Felix Mallard (who plays Marcus Baker), Sara Waisglass (Max), Raymond Ablack (Joe), Jennifer Robertson (Ellen, Marcus and Max's mom), Nathan Mitchell (Zion, Ginny's dad), Scott Porter (Mayor Paul Randolph and Georgia's husband), Alex Mallari Jr. (private investigator Gabriel Cordova), Nikki Roumel (young Georgia), Katie Douglas (Abby), Chelsea Clark (Norah), and Tameka Griffiths (Bracia).
As of right now, the entire main cast is expected to return for season 3 and new cast members Ty Dora and Noah Lamanna will appear in recurring roles as Wolfe and Tris. Wolfe is described as “a laid-back guy in Ginny’s poetry class who doesn’t particularly like poetry,” while Tris is a supersmart skateboarder who is friends with Marcus and Silver.
What will Ginny & Georgia seasons 3 and 4 be about?
Just like the first season of Ginny & Georgia, the second season ended on a massive cliffhanger, which seriously complicates the plot of season 3. The season 2 finale ended with Austin running after a patrol car… because his mother was handcuffed inside. After finally confessing to her loved ones, it seemed as though all of Georgia's skeletons were out of the closet. Well, until Georgia and Paul's wedding was interrupted by the police, and she was arrested for the murder of Tom Fuller, Cynthia's terminally ill husband. The entire town watched as Georgia's true colors came to light — blindsided isn't even the word. Is three times really the charm? Can Georgia get away with murder again?
Well, if the official synopsis of season 3 is any indication, Georgia Miller is gonna keep fighting 'til the very end: “Georgia has just been arrested for murder during her wedding — ruining her fairy tale ending and putting the spotlight on the Millers like never before. It's always been Ginny and Georgia against the world, but the world has never come for them quite like this. Now, Ginny needs to see where she stands when push comes to shove — Is the two of them against the world something Ginny really wants to sign up for?”
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the CFDA Awards in October 2024, Brianne Howey (a.k.a. Georgia) teased that season 3 is “the most unhinged season” of the show yet. “We learn so much about everyone,” she added. “We, of course, continue deep diving into mental health and all of those topics, and, of course, there's still plenty of fun.”
While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter shortly after the premiere of season 2, Ginny & Georgia's former showrunner Debra J. Fisher teased whether the writers' room had already started planning for season 3. “Seeing everybody watch the show and seeing all the excitement for the show, I will say that it’s been hard to not think about season three and where we want to go," Fisher told THR at the time. "Because when Sarah [Lampert, the series creator] and I pitched the show to Netflix, we did pitch four seasons, so we know what we want the end game to be. We know what we want the last episode to be.”
It's possible, then, that Ginny & Georgia season 4 could be the final season of the series. But a new showrunner at the helm potentially means new opportunities to expand the story beyond Fisher and Lampert's initial vision. In her dual-renewal announcement post to Instagram on May 17, creator Sarah Lampert wrote: “You guys don’t even realize what’s coming for you 🍑.” Guess we'll just have to wait and see…

When did Ginny & Georgia season 3 finish filming?
In mid-September 2024, multiple members of the Ginny & Georgia cast confirmed that production had officially wrapped on the third season of the series. Felix Mallard, Brianne Howey, Mason Temple, and Sara Waisglass all uploaded commemorative posts to Instagram about finishing the new season, stoking the anticipation of fans everywhere.

“Season 3 of Ginny and Georgia just wrapped filming,” Mallard wrote on September 18, alongside a carousel of film photos of the cast from season 1. “It’s bitter dipped in sweet. Pride wrapped in apprehension. Feeling immensely grateful to have spent such a long time working so hard with such beautiful people 🖤 Feeling even more excited for everyone to see what we’ve been up to since season 2… I love this show so much.”
That same day, Howey posted a photo of herself and her baby daughter on set, captioning it: “And that’s a wrap GG! 🎬 this season hit a little different 🥰🖤.”

Waisglass expressed similar heartfelt sentiments with her own photo dump, writing: “If you couldn’t tell, I love my coworkers. We’ve officially wrapped season three! Weeee! I don’t know how to describe how proud I am of the cast and crew this year without breaking some sort of NDA, so for now I will just say thank you for making this show what it is. You people are so effing brilliant and so ridiculously funny and I actually can’t believe I get to work with you all every year. I LOVE YA.”
After the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, the production timeline for the Netflix series seemed a bit fuzzy. But despite all odds, season 3 of Ginny and Georgia began filming in Toronto, Canada, in late March 2024.
On March 29, Antonia Gentry herself posted confirmation with a throwback photo with Diesel La Torraca (who plays her half-brother on the show) from season one. The next slide was a video of the duo saying goodbye after season 2 had wrapped, where Gentry can be heard saying, “Promise me that you won't be taller than me by the time I see you again.” The third and final slide was a picture of two reunited on set for season 3, and, well… La Torraca couldn't keep his promise. Gentry also posted a mirror selfie to her stories, writing, “Season 3, what's good.”

One month later, on April 29, Netflix confirmed season 3 of Ginny and Georgia was officially in production with its own post, showing the cast during what appears to be their first table reading. Brianne Howey followed up shortly after with her own POV of the table read:
Has Ginny & Georgia season 4 also finished filming?
Judging by the timelines of previous seasons, this could mean Ginny and Georgia season 3 could likely premiere in the spring or summer of 2025. Since seasons 3 and 4 were announced together, there is also a chance the two could have been filmed back-to-back, which could hopefully guarantee a shorter wait between seasons — but Netflix has not said anything about it so it's safer to assume otherwise and wait for official Ginny & Georgia season 4 updates after the premiere of season 3.
ICYMI: The main cast of the show came together for a super special, super-sized video announcement of their dual renewal back in May 2023. Variety reported that one of the biggest changes for season 3 would be writer and producer Sarah Glinski (most known for her work as the executive producer of Degrassi: The Next Generation from 2010 to 2015) replacing Debra J. Fisher as the series showrunner.
