ICYMI, Gigi Hadid is the latest celebrity to join the Bob Squad. The model just said goodbye to nearly half of her long blonde hair and documented the whole process on Instagram for our viewing pleasure. Just don't blame us if you call your stylist after watching the transformation.

When she got the itch to say “See ya!” to her hair, Gigi called up celebrity hairstylist Chris McMillan, who has also chopped the locks of superstars like Jennifer Aniston and Miley Cyrus. McMillan took off inches upon inches of Gigi's hair not in the salon, but in a bathroom, taking her length from mid-back to just above her collarbone. Hey, when you're ready for a cut, you're ready, and waiting for a salon appointment to open up can be agonizing. Of course, most of us don't have celeb stylists on speed dial, but I digress.

Watch Gigi's haircut in process below — it's so satisfying!

Prior to the Great Bobbing of 2024, Gigi's hair had gotten super long. The model typically wore it pulled back in a ponytail when out and about, though you can see just how long it was in this pic from the Jacquemus show in early 2024.

The final result was an adorable classic bob with lots of body and movement. Gigi wore it styled in casual waves for a Guest in Residence shoot, exuding her signature California girl cool in a polo shirt and lots of sunny pink blush. We weren't the only ones flipping out over the bob, either. Hadid's pals, including Hailey Bieber and both Kendall and Kylie Jenner hopped into the comments with praise, including an “Obsessed” from noted bob lover Bieber and a “cutie pie” from Kendall.

If you were thinking about cutting a bob, I'm not sure what further proof you need to make the decision, because Hadid and Sydney Sweeney have both clearly shown the merits of going short for spring. Which celeb will take the plunge next? The siren song of short hair is in the air…
