Genevieve (Thalia Besson) from Emily in Paris season 4 has to be the most intriguing new character on the Netflix show, with her being as controversial as she is cunning.
Step-daughter to Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), Genevieve, played by Thalia Besson, is Laurent's (Arnaud Binard) child from a previous relationship around 20 years prior.
Genevieve comes onto the scene after leaving New York for Paris, with her ending up working at Agence Grateau along the way.
A fellow American, Emily (Lily Collins) and Genevieve quickly bond, with the two going on an adorable shopping trip together.
However, it quickly becomes apparent that all is not as it seems with Genevieve. Rather than being a potential new bestie of Emily's, it's clear that Genevieve wants to take over her entire life, from her job to her relationship with Gabriel.
Will Genevieve be in Emily In Paris season 5?
Genevieve stirs up plenty of drama in Emily in Paris season 4, doing everything she can to get between Gabriel and Emily and proving an important character in helping set up the series for its finale episode.
So will we be seeing Genevieve in Emily in Paris season 5?
While nothing is confirmed as of yet, given the key role she played in the fourth season, we could see her return to pick things up for a potential next series, though given the way things were left with Gabriel perhaps her role has been served and she'll be heading back to New York.

Thalia Besson is a 23-year-old French-American actor and daughter to French film director Luc Besson and producer Virginie Besson-Silla.

Prior to her appearance on Emily in Paris season 4 part 2, Besson played the role of Tabitha in Dangerous Waters (2023), along with appearances in Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017) and Arthur, malédiction (2022).
And we'll likely be seeing more of her, with The Hollywood Reporter announcing that she's due to appear in upcoming horror fantasy Triton.
In case her dad's name sounds familiar too, that's because he's writer, director and producer who has worked on huge films such as The Fifth Element (1997), Lucy (2014), Léon (1994) and The Big Blue (1988).
Similarly, her mum Virginie Besson-Silla has worked as a producer across titles such as Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022), Lucy (2014), The Lady (2011) and countless other works.
