Demi Lovato is to star in Glee as Naya Rivera's love interest, it has been revealed.
According to People, The X Factor USA judge will join the cast for the fifth season of the FOX show and star as a lesbian, who has set her sights on Rivera's character Santana Lopez. 26-year-old Rivera reportedly told MTV at the VMAs on Sunday that she was "very excited" about Lovato's involvement. She said: "She's playing my love interest, so I'm very, very excited about it… We get to sing a song together."
Taking to Twitter yesterday Lovato confirmed the news, posting: "I can't believe I'm going back to acting but the best part about it is that I get to act/sing with some of my really great friends." The 21-year-old is expected to make her debut during the upcoming Beatles episode.
